DG CNECT

The Directorate‑General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT), of the European Commission, is responsible for the development and implementation of policies that make Europe fit for the digital age. DG CNECT invest in research, innovation, deployment and uptake of trustworthy and green digital technologies that improve our economy and people’s lives. Through funding, legislation and policy initiatives, DG CNECT help ensure European leadership and independence in critical digital technologies (such as Artificial Intelligence, Common Data Spaces, high-performance computing, 5G, micro-electronics, blockchain and quantum).

SPW Economie, Walloon Region

SPW Economie implements the policy of the Walloon Government in the fields of Economy. It represents Wallonia at various levels of government and serves as the conduit for European programs. The mission of SPW Economie is to support the growth of businesses and entrepreneurship through the granting of investment grants and business vouchers, and to support the development of economic activity zones. It backs initiatives in social economy and ensures the regulation of commercial establishments and access to the profession. It handles the granting of licenses (export, import, transit) for arms and dual-use goods.

Department EWI, Flemish Government

The Department of Economy, Science and Innovation (EWI Department) prepares, monitors and evaluates policy in the Economy, Science and Innovation policy area. The main aim of the EWI Departement is to develop Flanders into one of the most advanced and prosperous regions in the world. The main drivers are the promotion of excellence in scientific research, an attractive and sustainable business climate, a creative, innovative and entrepreneurial society. The EWI Department is also responsible for the coordination of both Horizon Europe and the Digital Europe Programme for Flanders and so ideally positioned to coordinate the organisation of Research to Reality.

Innoviris, Brussels-Capital Region

Innoviris is the public organization that funds and supports research and innovation (R&I) in the Brussels-Capital Region. Co-financing R&I projects in small and large companies, research centers, the non-profit sector and the public sector, Innoviris envisions to address urban challenges in areas including mobility, food, and health and social inclusion, to create high-quality employment and to contribute to the social and ecological transition of the economy, for the well-being and prosperity of every citizen in Brussels. Innoviris also raises awareness about STEM education and career opportunities, and about the role of science in society.

Ideal-ist

Ideal-ist, the network of National Contact Points (NCP) for research and innovation in digital across Horizon Europe includes over 65 partners from Europe and beyond. Based on long-standing experience (since 1996) Ideal-ist offers support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle: brokerage events for consortium building, workshops on highly relevant issues, feedback on project ideas, evaluation of full proposals, a toolbox with useful guidance to Horizon Europe, and an interactive topic tree mapping the evolution and links between call topics in Horizon Europe and beyond.

National Coordination Centre
for Cybersecurity Belgium

The National Coordination Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (NCC-BE) is designated to the Cybersecurity Centre for Belgium (CCB). This centre is part of a new European management framework consisting of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (in Bucharest) and a Network of 27 National Coordination Centres – one in each Member State – established by European Regulation (EU) 2021/887 of 20 May 2021. In that sense this organization aims to pool and better coordinate research, technology and industrial development investments in the field of cyber security in the Union.

Buildwise

Buildwise, formerly known as BBRI, was founded in 1959 by the construction industry. Buildwise's mission is to assist professionals in improving the quality, productivity, and sustainability of their work and to pave the way for innovation on construction sites and within construction companies. The link with practice is crucial to this end, which is why Technical Committees, consisting of industry representatives, are essential to our operation. As an innovation center, Buildwise not only looks towards the near future but also aims to play a pioneering and visionary role in a rapidly evolving society. Buildwise has over 280 employees distributed across offices and research laboratories in each region.

FARI

FARI institute is an independent, not-for-profit Artificial Intelligence initiative led by the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) which focusses on AI for the common good. FARI aims to develop, understand and use state-of-the-art technologies and ensure the ethical applicability, acceptability and relevance of AI-projects. FARIS strives to bridge the gap between technologies and is committed to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
